Parallax effect
This ubiquitous style is an easy workflow that achieves an engaging experience for the audience. Using two purchased stock photos offset in Adobe After Effects, I animated a camera in Z-space. A warp effect was then added to the dancer using masks to achieve the wind effect.
I used the puppet tool in After Effects to achieve the slight movement in her arms.
The finishing touch was to add particles (of course).
